Bhilwara, while growing into an industrial city, felt the need of having an English medium school. The Mission Sisters of Ajmer, in answer to this invitation, started a school in a rented building in 1984. Later they acquired enough land to build a spacious school which grew very fast in popularity. In 1985 Fr Francis Castelino laid foundation to another school for the boys. Fr Varghese Kaipadakunnel continued the work of Fr Castelino and started the school as St Anselm’s English Medium School. During the time Fr Manuel Arimattom the school grew up to the level of secondary. But his sudden death in a road accident brought an end to the otherwise promising growth of the school. Fr Fidelis Baria was appointed in place of Fr Manuel and the school grew up to the senior secondary level. But within a short period of time Fr Fidelis left us for his heavenly reward by a massive heart attack. Today the city of Bhilwara has a beautiful parish attached to its credit. Thanks to the tireless works done by so many of our fathers. The Franciscan Clarist Sisters also render their services to the parish besides the work done by the Mission Sisters of Ajmer.
