The Atomic Power Station at Rawatbhatta had so many Catholics as its employees and the spiritual need of these Catholics were looked after by the fathers from Kota parish. But after the bifurcation of the diocese Rawatbhatta which was coming under Chittorgarh district, was handed over to the new diocese of Udaipur. There was already an ecumenical church built by the contributions made by all Christians at Rawatbhatta. Thanks to the efforts of Mr D’Silva who saw that the weekly prayers are made possible for all the Christian denominations. But being a devout catholic he had the desire that a catholic church and a school be established there for the people. He himself saw to the religious instructions of the catholic children and other spiritual activities. Finally, the Chittorgarh parish took up the responsibility to go there once a week and offer the Eucharistic celebration there. Today Rawatbhatta has an English Medium school and Franciscan Clarist Sisters to help the parish in its activities.
