The Northern Mission Capuchins were invited to start a mission in the Catholic Diocese of Udaipur. They readily agreed to the invitation and started working in the Amlipara and Bagidora missions. After five years of work in these missions they bought a plot of land in Tambessara and started their friary and parish in 1990. The parish has the service of the Holy Cross Sisters who look after the school and the hostel for the girls. The boys’ hostel is looked after the fathers and a social service centre is running its activities in full swing.
